High Temperature Exhaust and Paddle Wheel Fans

Industrial operations frequently rely on high-temperature processes as well as material handling. With heavy, deep flat radial blades and compact housing, Paddle Wheel Fans are uniquely qualified to handle both. Typically, they deliver high-pressure capability and average efficiency.

Process airstreams often require specially designed centrifugal fans that can handle extremely high temperatures. Fans and blowers not properly designed for this purpose will catastrophically fail when used at temperatures above their design. These radial Paddle Wheel Fans can take the heat.

Product Description: Radial Paddle Wheel Centrifugal Fan

The AirPro material-handling radial Paddle Wheel Fan moves not only air but also material at medium-to-high static pressures. This fan has multiple flat radial blades that are equally-spaced and extend in a perpendicular direction compared to the rotation of the wheel. With its rugged design, this heavy-duty centrifugal fan is able to move heavy, sticky, and abrasive materials through the airstream without compromising the integrity of the wheel.

Note, you will often see the term “squirrel cage” associated with the Paddle Wheel. Our fans are more specialized for heavier-duty industrial centrifugal fan applications. As a result, we do not supply squirrel cage fans.

Two different wheel types are available with this high-temperature fan.

• IEPW – An open, radial blade design
• IEFB – Utilizes the same design as the IEPW, but also includes a backplate. The IEFB is provided with arrangement 4, direct-drive fans in order to protect the motor from material entering the fan airstream.
